Over 4,000 performers would entertain the
participants and visitors of the Sochi Winter Olympics, the Games' steering
committee said Friday.
"About 4000 performers from 64 Russia's regions are to take part in the
Olympic and Paralympic Games' cultural program," the committee's representative
Anna Pisarskaya told a meeting of the Olympics Public Council.
According to the sports official, the cultural events will take place at 23
floors, clubs and museums of Sochi.
The cultural program of the 22nd Winter Olympics Games has been prepared for
four years, she said.
Among the highlights of the Sochi Olympics she mentioned 7th Winter Festival
of the renowned Russian violist Yuri Bashmet.
The Sochi Winter Olympics are due to kick off in February 2014.
